Debbie is a sole practitioner attorney whose practice includes limited scope (discrete task) representation when ethically appropriate as well as traditional (full) representation. Having adopted a home office model many years ago, she offers personalized service, including meeting with clients at agreed private locations or, in this day of national health emergency, otherwise arranging meetings as needed. Debbie’s clients may have complex difficulties needing a comprehensive approach, whether in family law, guardianships or conservatorships, exploitation matters, protective orders, or other difficulties. Other times, clients are planning for future events or needs, entering into agreements or needing other documentation.

As of this update (June 2020) Upcoming Activities Include the upcoming (pending pandemic rescheduling) 5th Annual Barristers & Baseball and also 4th Annual CLE Marathon, both of which have been programs with which Debbie has assisted since inception. Debbie is a co-author of the ethics’ essay for the B&B and plans to be a co-presenter on Grandparent Custody at the CLE Marathon. Watch for Debbie’s article “A PRIMER – ARIZONA’S NEW PROTECTIVE ORDER LANDSCAPE” in the Maricopa Lawyer (July 2020).

Current projects include being an operator on the State Bar’s Covid-19 hotline and publishing newsletters with some important legal and related developments during the pandemic.

Some past activities have included teaching periodic classes at the Luke AFB JAGC, mentoring other attorneys when assigned by the State Bar, chairing and co-presenting at Program T-30, an all-day State Bar Convention Program in June 2015 concerning elder law topics, and being a prior Bar section officer including Chair of the Sole Practitioner/Small Firms section (receiving an Outstanding Leadership Award by her Executive Council in 2007).
